Presenting the 2017 USC School of Cinematic Arts Fund for Student Support...

Babatunde Akinloye is a native of Los Angeles pursuing a career in filmmaking as a Director and Producer for narrative, non-fiction, and promotional content. He is currently enrolled full-time in graduate school at the USC School of Cinematic Arts Peter Stark Producing Program and will graduate in May 2018. In addition to his studies, he is the co-founder of a full-service production team, The Collective Films, which produces content for Issa Rae Productions, including Insecure: Live Recap and A Sip interview series. He is currently interning for the summer at Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures with the Visual Effects and Post Production team. In 2008, Babatunde graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors of Arts in Film, Television, and Digital Media with a specialization in Documentary Production. Upon commencement, Babatunde was honored with the distinguished UCLA Chancellor’s Service Award for his efforts and commitment to both leadership and service throughout his four years as an undergraduate. Through his service work, he has significantly developed leadership skills and the capability to effectively organize masses of people in a collaborative effort towards one goal, a vital skill for any filmmaker.
