Presenting the 2017 UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television Fellowship in Film Award...

Zoe Ward is currently pursuing an MFA in Film Production (Directing) at UCLA. She received her BA from The Evergreen State College, where her studies focused primarily on literature and political theory. She took a circuitous path toward becoming a filmmaker, with pit stops in book publishing, organic farming, dog-walking, and non-profit management. She has written and directed several short films, and is currently developing two feature screenplays. She also recently began writing short fiction. Her first published story (The Iowa Review, Spring 2016) was a finalist for the PEN/Robert J. Dau Emerging Writers Award.
