NATO of California/Nevada provided a $30,000 grant to the Union Rescue Mission to provide a fully operational computer room in their new facility The Angeles House in Carson, California. The 74,900 square foot community facility includes 55,900 square feet of housing units. The facility was opened in March of this year. The facility provides a safe and secure place for unsheltered children and their parents. It contains 86 transitional housing units with a capacity of up to 370 Low Income Persons. Support services are provided to the residents onsite by the URM.
In 2018 NATO of California/Nevada funded the Kids Computer Room at the Los Angeles facility of the Union Rescue Mission. It proved to be such a great asset for the residents at that facility that the NATO of CA/NV Board approved the funds for this second lab in Carson.
