Theatre-Level Employees of NATO of CA/NV member theatres.
General Managers of NATO of CA/NV member theatres. The term “General Manager” as used in this application refers to the most senior manager at a theatre location, the person who is responsible for the overall operation of the theatre and is the person to whom all other management staff and employees at the theatre report, regardless of actual title used by the member theatre.
Dependent Children of General Managers. Must be related to an eligible General Manager through birth, marriage, or adoption. Dependent can be no older than 21 as of 2/15/2024. Only one child per General Manager can apply each year.
All eligible candidates must plan to enroll in an accredited not-for-profit college institution in Fall 2024
All applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA to be considered.
Theatre-Level applicants must work a minimum of 300 hours between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 in a member theatre. The theatre must have been a member of NATO during the entire period in which those 300 hours were accumulated.
For Dependent Children of General Managers: General Managers must be currently employed as a General Manager and must have been employed by a NATO member theatre for at least two years, with one of those years being prior to the pandemic, and a minimum of 1800 hours or more per year to qualify for themselves or their dependent children.

Due to changes in FAFSA, the Student Aid Index Estimator may also be uploaded at the time of submission. However, final award verification will require the completed FAFSA submission.
You are a current 2023 scholarship recipient.
You are a current 2022 scholarship recipient with a remaining balance.
You have already won two scholarship awards from NATO of CA/NV.
You are a General Manager and two awards have already been granted to you and/or the members of your family.
You plan on using this award for a non-degree-granting, non-certificate granting, or life enrichment extension program.
Scholarship recipients enrolling in an accredited four-year college/university will receive $3,000 for each eligible academic year up to a maximum of 4 academic years, contingent upon continued eligibility.
Recipients enrolling in a two-year college/community college/trade school will receive $1,000 for each eligible school year. Upon transfer to a four-year college, awards will be increased to $3,000 for each eligible academic year, up to a combined maximum of 4 academic years.
Enrollment in college courses in summer or winter terms will not increase the total amount of the award.
Stipend recipients who are enrolled in an accredited not-for-profit four-year (bachelor's degree-granting) college/university will receive a one-time $2,000 stipend for undergraduate-level education.
Recipients enrolled in a two-year college/community college or accredited not-for-profit trade school will receive a one-time $500 stipend.
Scholarship awards apply to the academic first year for which they are awarded, but awarded scholarship recipients may be eligible to receive a continuation of their scholarship for up to three additional years (total of 4 years maximum of awards) provided that they:
Maintain full-time college enrollment (minimum of 12 units per academic term – semester or quarter) and provide necessary documentation to substantiate academic standing. Part-time college enrollment for continued eligibility will only be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Actively participate in Fulfillment Fund’s College Success Program. Awarded scholars must conduct at least one check-in with their Fulfillment Fund Advisor at least once per term and participate in at least two online workshops each term. Other requirements are outlined in the Scholarship Policy, which students are required to follow once awarded.
Maintain a college GPA of 2.0 (documentation required). If your GPA falls below 2.0, you must participate in an Academic Action Plan, outlined in the Scholarship Policy.
No continued employment at a member NATO of CA/NV theatre is required, however, must remain in good standing with the member theatre and eligible to be rehired.
You will need the name and e-mail address of the Human Resources or Payroll Administrator that can fill out the verification of employment form. Once you enter their information, they will receive an email with the link to fill out and submit the form. You may need to ask your theatre’s General Manager or your direct supervisor for this information. Your theatre’s General Manager can also fill out the verification form if they have access to your work schedules.

Recommendation form. You will need to supply the full name, title and e-mail address for the person you are requesting a recommendation from. This person can be your General Manager, teacher, school counselor/advisor or volunteer group leader. Please advise them of the recommendations due date - February 29, 2024 - and be sure to follow up with them. It’s best you ask them in advance of sending them the form.
A copy of your 2024-2025 Student Aid Report (SAR) or your CADAA award letter. Your SAR can be found on your FAFSA application. Please make sure either file is a PDF file. Due to changes in FAFSA, the Student Aid Index Estimator may also be uploaded at the time of submission. However, final award verification will require the completed FAFSA submission.
Information regarding at least one extracurricular activity; a second activity can be included.
Dependent children will be contacted separately for additional verification of dependent status.
You will need to respond to four prompts (out of seven options) in the essays/personal statement section of the application. Each response is no more than 350 words.
